The Eventuri intake system for the Mercedes A45 and CLA45 with the M139 engine was created to ensure smooth air flow to the turbine. Designing the intake completely from scratch allows for a much more direct intake port, allowing the turbine to generate boost with less load and achieving desired pressure levels at lower rpm. The kit is designed to guarantee the best possible air flow while maintaining the lowest possible temperature to significantly improve performance. The unobstructed intake duct also allows you to hear the turbine spin better, further enhancing the overall riding experience.
Eventuri advantage The Eventuri kit for the Mercedes M139 engine has a patented carbon casing that guarantees an aerodynamically effective airflow path from the filter to the turbine. This is not just another cone filter with a cover, but a unique design that uses the Venturi effect and maintains a layered airflow to reduce the load on the turbine.
Dyno tests The Eventuri kit for the Mercedes M139 engine has been independently tested by the brand's vehicle tuning specialists - MSL Performance from the UK. Several measurements were taken with the stock intake system to obtain a repeatable result, and an Eventuri intake was then used. Tests were performed on the same day back-to-back. The results show an increase in power and torque across the entire rev range - not just at redline - so the vehicle responds better and accelerates faster in each gear.
The Eventuri intake system for the A45/CLA45 consists of several elements that fulfill precisely defined functions and are made in accordance with the highest quality standards, entirely from carbon fiber without any addition of glass fiber. This results in a smooth internal surface, ensuring unobstructed air flow. Below you will find descriptions of individual components and an explanation of their operation.
Each intake system consists of the following components: • carbon filter housing • specially developed high-flow dry cone filter • carbon inlet pipe • laser cut stainless steel handles • laser cut ECU relocation mounts, made of stainless steel Patented Venturi filter housing The Eventuri filter housing for the Mercedes M139 engine includes a unique, high-flow filter element, an aluminum cap and a carbon shell. The housing smoothes the air stream passing through the inverted filters, directing it to the inlet pipes. A gentle reduction in the diameter of the channel cross-section causes the Venturi effect, which consists in increasing the air velocity inside while maintaining its layered character, without turbulence. The housing design resembles a trumpet-shaped intake pipe (velocity stack). The diagram below shows a comparison between the Eventuri design and a regular intake system.
Carbon intake duct The duct directs outside air from the front fascia to the filter housing. It blends with the factory components and transitions smoothly into the round shape of the case. To ensure a tight seal against heat from the engine compartment, the duct has flexible rubber edges around the holes that press against the filter housing, creating a tight seal that allows the housing to move with the engine. There are cutouts on the side of the intake duct to allow air to move around where the engine controller is moved, preventing overheating. The channel has been designed to obtain maximum capacity given the possibilities offered by the geometry of the engine compartment. Thanks to this, the system draws air with significantly reduced resistance.
Laser cut mounts for ECU relocation To move the engine controller, Eventuri engineers created a special mounting, laser-cut from stainless steel, making it durable and durable. The controller is mounted securely in the holder, which is then attached to the vehicle in the place where the factory filter housing holder was previously installed. Additionally, the set also includes a support for the carbon housing and a cover for the controller, protecting the wiring harness.
