EVENTURI CARBON INTAKE SYSTEM MERCEDES AMG GT GTS GTR
Fits C190 / R190 AMG GT, GTS, GTR models (except 4 door GT versions) Product number: EVE-AMGGT-CF-INT Available in glossy and matte carbon. Increases: 12-18 HP and 13.5 – 20 Nm
The Eventuri intake system for the AMG GTR with a completely closed housing was developed based on extensive real-world testing and airflow simulation analysis. It features patented Venturi housings, allowing the smoothest possible air movement into the turbine inlets. The housings contain specially developed filters that help shape the air flow and maintain its layered arrangement. The internal capacity of each housing has been maximized to reduce flow restrictions. For this reason, the factory cover had to be replaced as it did not accommodate the enlarged components. The inlet ducts connect tightly to the housings, thanks to which the intake air temperature remains low. The Eventuri intake was tested by the world leader in tuning Mercedes vehicles - RENNtech. The tests showed improved performance in engines with factory software and controller modifications. Each set includes a carbon central cover.
Eventuri advantage
The Eventuri intake system for the AMG GTR C190/R190 uses a patented carbon housing with Eventuri Gen 2 filters, guaranteeing an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbines. This is not just another cone filter with a cover, but a unique design that uses the Venturi effect and maintains a layered airflow to reduce the load on the turbine.
Dyno tests Dyno tests were carried out by tuners from RENNtech in the USA, who used a GTR in the serial version and with their own ECU modification. Tests performed one after the other compared the factory intake with the Eventuri intake. As you can see below, the Eventuri intake guarantees improved performance across the entire rev range. Peak power and torque values are summarized below for each configuration. Mid-range gains are higher than the reported peaks in places, as can be seen in the graphs. The gains achieved are felt on the road with improved throttle response and improved acceleration. Dyno results – summary: Series (tests 1 and 2) 01 – 548.77 HP / 670.2 Nm; 02 – 551.67 HP / 674.6 Nm Series with Eventuri intake (tests 13 and 14): 13 – 558.34 HP / 707.4 Nm; 14 – 559.34 HP / 689.4 Nm ECU modification (trials 5 and 6): 05 – 589.37 HP / 781.9 Nm; 06 – 567.63 HP / 771 Nm ECU modification with Eventuri intake (tests 9 and 10): 09 - 596.94 HP / 781 Nm; 10 – 590 HP / 776.3 Nm
The Eventuri intake system for the AMG GT consists of several elements that fulfill precisely defined functions and are made in accordance with the highest quality standards, entirely from carbon fiber without any addition of glass fiber. This results in a smooth internal surface, ensuring unobstructed air flow. Below you will find descriptions of individual components and an explanation of their operation.
Each intake system consists of the following components: • carbon filter housing x 2 • Specially developed high flow dry cone filter x 1 • carbon intake pipe x 2 • carbon central cover • CNC milled stainless steel outlet flanges x 2 • milled MAP sensor input x 2 • thermal shields • laser cut stainless steel handles
Patented Venturi filter housing The Eventuri filter housing for AMG GT includes two unique, high-flow filter inserts, aluminum caps, laser-cut handles and carbon shells. The housing smoothes the air stream passing through the inverted filters, directing it to the turbine. A gentle reduction in the diameter of the channel cross-section causes the Venturi effect, which consists in reducing the pressure inside while maintaining its layered character, without turbulence. The housing design resembles a trumpet-shaped intake pipe (velocity stack). The diagram below shows a comparison between the Eventuri design and a regular intake system. Eventuri housings replace factory equivalents along with flexible intake tubes, providing a more direct flow path with a one-piece design.
Carbon central cover The internal capacity of each housing has been maximized to reduce airflow restrictions to the turbines. For this reason, the central cover also had to be modified so that it did not interfere with the housings. That's why Eventuri engineers created a new cover that will accommodate the enlarged filter housings and also ensure a perfect appearance in the engine compartment. The cover is made of carbon fiber with a V-shaped weave, which ensures the symmetry of the entire intake system. It also has an embossment intended to accommodate the factory plate with engine parameters from the original cover.
Carbon intake channels Ducts direct outside air from the grill to the filter housings. They blend with the factory components and blend smoothly into the round shape of the case. To ensure a tight seal against heat from the engine compartment, the ducts have flexible rubber edges around the holes that press against the filter housing, creating a tight connection that allows the housing to move with the engine. Channel capacity has been maximized to make best use of available space. Their lower part shows how much effort was put into achieving a perfect fit, taking into account other elements in the engine compartment.
All elements are included in the set and significantly improve the value of the AMG GT model in terms of performance, sound and aesthetics. Glossy and matte carbon fiber finishes available.
