The Eventuri intake system for the Audi B9 S4/S5 was designed to obtain a freer flow of intake air to the turbine while maintaining its low temperature. The engine compartment in this vehicle heats up very quickly, so using an open intake with a cone filter will result in high air temperature despite good air flow. Therefore, the air flow path from the front grill to the turbine inlet was created completely anew by Eventuri engineers, resulting in a highly efficient, tightly closed system. The inefficient factory housing and flexible plastic intake pipe have been replaced with much more aerodynamic components. Replacing the twisted stock intake pipe with a one-piece rigid-tube Venturi housing ensures smooth, unobstructed airflow from the turbine. The Eventuri intake system for the Audi B9 S4/S5 uses a carbon housing (patent pending) with a specially developed second-generation Eventuri filter, which guarantees an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the intake pipes. This is not another cone filter with a cover, but a unique design that uses the Venturi effect. The intake was road tested using the Vbox to measure acceleration in the range of 60-130 mph (as well as 100-200 km/h). Tests were conducted on the same section of road on the same day to minimize variations in conditions. The results showed that just by installing the Eventuri intake, the travel time in the range of 60-130 mph (and 100-200 km/h) improved by 0.5 seconds, which is a considerable achievement at these speeds. This shows that the gains recorded on the dynamometer do not translate into how the intake system performs on the road under correct flow conditions - on the road, the intake shows better gains by reducing the time needed to accelerate compared to the results from the dynamometer.

The gains achieved are the result of several factors: 1) A tight system keeps intake air temperatures low - especially at the front intake, which forces air into the system. 2) Venturi housing provides a smooth transition from the filter to the intake pipe without a twisted rubber section. This solution enables more efficient operation of the turbine by maintaining the laminar (layered) nature of the air stream in the intake channels. 3) The entire set is made of pure pre-preg carbon fiber, which provides excellent thermal insulation.

The set consists of a specially developed 2nd generation filter, a carbon housing shell and an integrated pipe. The shell houses a reverse-mounted filter and gently shapes the air stream flowing into the turbine inlet pipe thanks to the perfect fit in terms of diameter. This is a key issue in the design of the Eventuri intake, as it eliminates the need to use a twisted rubber pipe between the intake and the engine. The filter housing and integrated pipe connect directly to the factory turbine inlet pipe and because it is attached to the engine, the entire filter housing moves with the engine. Even with increased acceleration and traffic intensity of the engine and the filter housing, full tightness is maintained thanks to the use of an expandable rubber seal mounted on the front of the channel.
A gentle, gradual reduction in cross-sectional area causes the Venturi effect, i.e. acceleration of air flow while maintaining its layered (laminar) arrangement. The housing design resembles a trumpet-shaped intake pipe (velocity stack). Specially developed Eventuri filters support the air flow through the housing and enable even distribution of its speed when leaving the housing.
Carbon internal intake duct The internal channel has a geometrically complex structure and is a key element of the intake, directing air from the outside to the filter housing. The air collects in a closed space in front of the filter and is ready to pass further. The channel design makes maximum use of the available space in the engine compartment. To ensure tightness, protecting against high temperatures, flexible rubber rims are used around the holes, which press against the filter housing and the factory front channel. This creates a tight connection, which also allows the housing to move with the engine. To further improve the flow, an additional hole was used in the rear part of the channel, adjacent to the cold zone of the engine compartment.
Carbon air intake Another carbon element in this set is the front inlet, whose task is to direct the air flow to the intake duct and further to the filter.
The inlet has a constant bend radius for maximum efficiency in directing the airflow into the intake duct opening. It allows you to maintain a low intake air temperature and increases the level of air temperature reduction in the event of excessive engine warm-up while standing still.
Specially developed fastening elements To guarantee a perfect fit, Eventuri engineers spent a lot of time developing the fastening elements. All brackets and mountings have been specially developed for use on this vehicle. Each one is laser cut and powder coated for increased durability. Milled mounts attach to the mounts and press into the factory rubber mounts to which the factory intake system mounts. Thanks to this, the Eventuri intake fits like an original element.
