EVENTURI carbon intake system | Corvette C8 Stingray Coupe
Eventuri's Chevrolet Corvette C8 Carbon Intake System is a state-of-the-art upgrade to the already impressive Corvette C8. The intake system has been perfectly designed and improves airflow to the engine, making it more efficient and powerful. The Eventuri intake system replaces the factory setup with a full carbon fiber construction that allows for maximum airflow with minimal restrictions. This leads to better performance, better throttle response and better engine sound. Installation of this product is relatively simple and includes detailed instructions for those with basic mechanical knowledge. The Eventuri Chevrolet Corvette C8 carbon intake system is the perfect choice for those who want to improve the performance of their car and make it stand out from the crowd!
Product number: EVE-C8VT-CF-INT Gains: 15-18 HP and 20-22 Nm The photos show the optional engine cover, available separately. Fits the Stingray Coupe C8 model, a convertible version will also be available soon
The Eventuri intake system for the Corvette C8 sets a new standard for this platform as the most efficient, largest volume intake system available on the market*. Due to size and shape limitations caused by the factory trunk partition, the intake design was created completely from scratch to create more space. Additionally, the factory partition was replaced with a polycarbonate element to make the Eventuri's carbon casing clearly visible when the trunk is open. Thanks to the use of the patented Venturi housing, the air passes through the filters along a much less tortuous path, which significantly reduces the load. In addition, increasing the total intake volume results in an improved flow coefficient, thanks to which models with increased power can use their full potential. The intake air temperature has been kept to a minimum by using a tight design using factory air intakes and carbon fiber, which conducts heat poorly through the walls. The whole thing provides an impressive increase in performance and a significant improvement in throttle operation.
Eventuri advantage The Eventuri intake system for the Corvette C8 uses a patented carbon fiber housing to provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the engine. This is not another cone filter with a cover, but a unique design that uses the Venturi effect.
*Applies to the moment of product launch. Dyno tests The Eventuri intake for the Corvette C8 has been independently tested by specialists for this model: Paragon Performance (Iowa, USA) and MSL Performance (UK). Tests were conducted on production vehicles with a factory intake system and an Eventuri intake system on the same day, back to back. At Paragon Performance, tests were carried out in a closed space, recording data including temperatures and adjustments to fuel mixture parameters. A completely stock C8 was tested with the engine at temperature stabilized, then the car was left on the dyno and an Eventuri intake was installed. After assembly, the engine was brought to the same temperature and then another test was performed. This procedure provided objective conditions for both the factory intake system and the Eventuri product.
The graphs showed a clear increase not only at peak values, but throughout the entire rev range, which is extremely important because it means that the intake is doing its job in every situation. The gains are felt on the road thanks to better throttle response and more dynamic acceleration.
CFD analysis To optimize the shape for unobstructed flow and reduced load, Eventuri engineers used CFD (computational fluid dynamics) technology. The simulation shows the speed of air flow through the intake system. The lines show how the intake channels turbulent air from the filters, smoothing and regulating it as it flows through the MAF sensor section and into the throttle body. The air velocity increases as it passes through the MAF pipe, but it remains layered and uniform all the way to the engine.
The Eventuri intake system for the Corvette C8 consists of several elements, manufactured to the highest standards. Only prepreg carbon fiber was used, without any glass fiber, so the internal surface is perfectly smooth and ensures unobstructed air flow.
Below is a list of components with descriptions. Contents of each Eventuri intake system: • double carbon venturi filter housing • unique, high-flow, dry cone filters • carbon inlet pipes • transparent trunk partition, made of polycarbonate • silicone connectors with a stepped internal surface • laser cut mountings and stainless steel heat shields • specially developed inlet flanges • specially developed flexible hoses
PATENTED FILTER HOUSING The C8 Eventuri filter housing consists of two elements with a shape resembling a Venturi nozzle, which connect to each other and turn into one air outlet. The set includes two unique, high-flow filter cartridges, aluminum caps, laser-cut handles and a carbon housing. The housing smoothes the air flow passing through the inverted filters, directing it to the damper. A gentle reduction in the diameter of the duct cross-section causes the Venturi effect, which consists in accelerating the air flow while maintaining its layered character, without turbulence. The housing design resembles a trumpet-shaped intake pipe (velocity stack). The diagram below shows a comparison between the Eventuri design and a regular intake system.
UNIQUE CONE FILTER To obtain the maximum air flow rate, Eventuri engineers designed the filter element to make the most efficient use of the space available in the engine compartment. The filter diameter is 192mm (7.6") - when tested in a housing with an inlet diameter of 4", the air flow is 425 l/s at a pressure of 1.01 Psi. The filter element is a dry type and is ISO certified, guaranteeing a level of filtration consistent with the OEM standard. The design is based on a characteristic cone shape, supporting the Venturi effect generated by the housing.
CARBON INLET PIPE Channels direct air from the side inlets to the filter housing. To provide protection against high temperatures, the engine compartments are attached to the housing at three points using a neoprene gasket to ensure maximum tightness. The channels are designed to have the maximum internal volume allowed by the engine compartment geometry. Thanks to this, the housing absorbs air with significantly reduced resistance.
TRANSPARENT TRUNK PARTITION
Designing an enlarged intake system with smooth, unobstructed airflow to the engine was not possible due to limited space, which was partly due to the factory trunk partition - so Eventuri engineers redesigned it to accommodate a larger intake. They also used the opportunity to highlight the aesthetic value of carbon fiber and made a partition from transparent polycarbonate. This is the first such solution for this platform - a window to the wonderful carbon component after opening the trunk lid.
HANDLES The frame structure ensures that cable bundles are stably and discreetly held in place, keeping them out of sight. The handles are laser cut from stainless steel and aluminum.
INLET FLANGES Specially created inlet flanges and flexible hoses connect the intake system with the factory cold air inlets on both sides. This prevents heat from the engine compartment from entering the intake.
SILICONE CONNECTOR The silicone connector replaces the factory equivalent and fits the stock throttle, and its interior has steps that take into account the wall thickness of the throttle body and carbon intake to ensure a smooth transition to the plenum.
The set significantly exceeds the factory equivalent in terms of performance, appearance and sound...
